Thank you to:
and finally, to our wonderful parents for all their help and assistance throughout the day.
Both teams demonstrated our Club’s great team spirit and supported each other throughout the day.
The 13&U Aquarius played their hearts out all day and reached the semi-finals. After the last round in the pool section was cancelled due to the rain, the team had a few rounds to wait before they played the semi-final against Boronia who had played all their rounds. Boronia went on to play in the semi-final against the only other team who beat them on the day. As this was the first tournament most of the team had attended, reaching the semi-finals was a great achievement.
The 17&U Aries had a wonderful tournament – the girls won all their games today and were eventual runaway winners in the grand final . It was wonderful watching them smiling throughout their games and it was obvious that they all were enjoying their netball today.
Well done to Molly and her girls!
Fundraising is an essential part of our club! It helps to keep fees and costs down and we appreciate all families being involved. Our first fundraising event for the Winter Season is a Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings Cranbourne on Saturday, 15 May 2010.
If you can ‘t help out on the day, please support our club by coming up and buying a sausage!
Thank you to everyone for supporting the club. The rewards come back to the players.
While everyone was enjoying their break from netball over Easter and the school holidays, Joel Manning (who was a member of one of our open mixed teams and brother of Kiara from the 13&U Pisces team) represented Victoria in the 19&U Men’s team at the recent Men’s and Mixed National Championships.
The Victorian 19&U Men’s team won the Championships in their division and Joel was named Runner Up Best and Fairest for the tournament.
Well done Joel.
As this weekend is a long weekend and there are no games on Saturday, there will be no training on Friday, 23rd April 2010.
Have a great weekend.
