WAVERLEY NETBALL CENTRE CLUB TOURNAMENT

Thank you to:

all our players who participated today;
Sarah & Vicki who were our umpires for the day;

and finally, to our wonderful parents for all their help and assistance throughout the day.

Both teams demonstrated our Club’s great team spirit and supported each other throughout the day.

The 13&U Aquarius played their hearts out all day and reached the semi-finals. After the last round in the pool section was cancelled due to the rain, the team had a few rounds to wait before they played the semi-final against Boronia who had played all their rounds. Boronia went on to play in the semi-final against the only other team who beat them on the day. As this was the first tournament most of the team had attended, reaching the semi-finals was a great achievement.

The 17&U Aries had a wonderful tournament – the girls won all their games today and were eventual runaway winners in the grand final . It was wonderful watching them smiling throughout their games and it was obvious that they all were enjoying their netball today.

Well done to Molly and her girls!
